The responsibilities of the Parish Council include:-

• Planning Applications - The Parish Council passes advice regarding planning applications within the parish on to Burnley Borough Council.
• Maintaining areas of land owned by the Parish Council. These include the allotments, the memorial gardens, the shelter opposite school, and play areas. Please note this is not an exhaustive list!
• Setting an Annual Budget which determines the Parish Precept.
• Making note of and passing to the responsible authority for action any matter of general concern to the village (traffic issues, planning, initiatives concerning youth, public amenities, etc.)
