- Parish
Council Meetings are
usually held on the third Friday of each month. The
next meeting will be held on Friday 17th February
2012 at 7pm.
- The
Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. Children
between the ages of 4 to 11 will be given a commemorative
cup for the Diamond Jubilee if they live within the
Parish of Cliviger. To avoid disappointment you MUST
register by Tues 29th February 2012 with Kath Whittle
on 01282 420532

- Burnley's
Mayor is Cliviger's own Councillor David Heginbotham.
Coun. Heginbotham is Chairman of Cliviger Parish Council,
is Burnley Borough Council ward councillor for Cliviger
and Worsthorne, lives in the parish, and sings in
the choir at St John the Divine Church, Cliviger.
His Lady Mayoress is his wife, Mrs Joan Heginbotham,
whose fundraising committee will this year be supporting
the Pendleside Hospice.
- Zumba
Classes are now being held in the Village
Hall every Tuesday evening from 6pm - 7pm.
- St
John the Divine C of E Church requires an
organist for Sunday Services, plus weddings, funerals
and ceremonial days. For more information, please

Heginbotham.
- St
John the Divine C of E Church also
requires volunteers to help with tending the graveyard.
Tasks include cutting the grass, picking up litter,
trimming hedges and clearing drains. For more information
please contact Parochial Church Councillor David
Walker.
- Dog
Owners - the Parish Council would like to
remind you that it is your responsibility to clean
up after your dog. The penalty for not doing so can
be an 'on the spot' fine of £50, or, prosecution
in the Magistrates Court which could incur a fine
of up to £1,000.

- PCSO
News - It has been announced that the funding
for our Police Community Support Officers has been
secured until March 2013. Cliviger's nationally-recognised
